La Bien Aimée Knitting Circle: Jan 8th!

La Bien Aimée Knitting Circle: Jan 8th!

Happy Knit Year to you!

As a way to stay in touch more this year, I will host once a month a virtual knitting circle on Zoom. Bring your WIP and come and join me for a laidback knitting session.

Please note that this will be a knitting circle in English.

This week I'm knitting on my Hiberknitting cowl that I started over my holiday break using the Agnes Martin yarn medley we offered in the fall. I am exploring different motifs while mixing different basesl. A total freestyle project, just something fun to challenge myself in the new year!

Our current stock of Yarn Medleys is quite low and we are planning the next around of yarn medleys. If you want to compose your your own, all you will need is 3 skeins of fingering or sport weight, one skein of either Mohair Silk or Kumo and four mini skeins. Why not try our new 50g cashmerino skeins which are a great amount for colorwork. As always, if you would like help pulling together an exclusive color palette just for you, email us at coloradvice@labienaimee.com.
We are happy to help!

La Bien Aimée Virtual Knitting Circle

During the virtual knitting circle, I'll show you where I am in my cowl and talk a little bit about the bases I'm using.

This project has been a fun study in mixing bases and now has become a study of stripes. I’ve been playing around holding heavy lace weight yarns doubled with different bases, floating between a fingering and a sport weight. I enjoy a high definition stripe but in this project I’m blurring the lines of my stripes as I transition from one base to another.

If you'd like to join the January LBAVKC (La Bien Aimée Virtual Knitting Circle), leave me a message in the comments of this blog post. I'd love to hear from you!

Here is the zoom link to join on Friday January 8th: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88941505766

Happy New Year!
