La Bien Aimée Twist Nouveau is featured in the Mynstur cowl, a brand new pattern by exciting new designer, Linda Björk Eiríksdóttir (@barbaknit). Linda is a well-known knitter from Iceland and an active and wonderful presence in the online knitting community with a very fun Youtube channel. She also works closely with Stephen West as his testknits coordinator.
Mynstur cowl is an infinity scarf, knit in the round with stranded colorwork. It is long enough to wrap twice around the neck for extra warmth. The motifs are a mix of Linda's imagination and traditional Icelandic patterns. This design is easily customisable: motifs can be arranged in any order you like, or the same motif repeated all along the cowl, it can be made short for a single loop version, or long to be wrapped twice around the neck. Our bundles provide enough yarn (two skeins for the main color, and one for the contrast color) to make the long double loop version.
Twist Nouveau is La Bien Aimée's Fingering base made of 100% Non Superwash Merino. It is wonderfully soft and perfect for light accessories and sweaters alike.
Please note: The pattern for the Mynstur cowl is not included in these bundles and is available here on Ravelry. From March 10th to 17th, Linda will donate 20% of the pattern sales to Unicef in Iceland to help the children in Ukraine that are suffering because of the war.
