Hand-dyed yarn is full of surprises. Sometimes, despite following our recipes closely, the colors take an unexpected turn—and the result is something just as beautiful, but entirely unique. Our Éphémère skeins are one-of-a-kind variations of the LBA colorways you already know and love. They might be a touch lighter, slightly moodier, or have an unexpected shift in tone—but that’s exactly what makes them special.

These skeins are part of our commitment to reducing waste and celebrating the creative, imperfect nature of the dyeing process. Each Éphémère skein is unrepeatable—once it’s gone, it’s gone. Whether you're knitting a whole project or mixing it into your palette, you're giving new life to a truly singular skein. Embrace the unexpected and make something magical.

Silk Tweed is perfect for all your summer knitting. Not only does it have a soft feel, but its tweed texture adds dimension and depth to any project.
We are planning to mix this base with our favorite lace weights like Mohair Silk and Kumo.

Knit Silk Tweed with a 3-3.5mm needle for a garment or if you want to make a shawl you could use 3.75mm to create a beautiful drapey fabric.

Silk Tweed is made of 100% Silk Noil. You may be asking yourself what exactly is Silk noil.

Silk noil,  also known as ‘raw silk’, is made from the waste fibers inside the cocoon. Once spun, these small bits of broken fiber create this really interesting nubby matte texture that gives the tweedy aspect and feels like a really soft cotton. Silk also has lots of amazing properties: it is very breathable, yet warm, it keeps moisture away from the body and is perfectly comfortable to wear next to skin.
