My rainbow Glow
You’ve been asking about this version of Glow—and I totally get it... I’m obsessed too!
For this special version of my vest pattern Glow, I wanted to create a fabric that felt alive with color, light, and texture. I started with a base of Corrie Worsted in French Grey, one of my favorite neutrals, and held it together with a rotating mix of Alix minis—mostly neon shades from across our collections. The result? A softly glowing marl that shifts organically from one vibrant color to the next, creating a fabric that feels spontaneous, layered, and just a little bit magical.
My palette began with two minis of Vibin’ from the Millennial Collection—I really wanted those pinks and oranges to shine through. Then I added one mini each of As If, Kool, Fluoro Morganite, Seaglass, Buzz, Tang, Kokko, and Anemone. I changed colors wherever the mood struck—sometimes at the beginning of a row, but often right in the middle. Each skein brought its own energy, and together, they created this joyful, rainbow-filled fabric glowing softly against the grey background.
If you're thinking about casting on Glow, this is a great way to play with marling and make something completely your own. Whether you follow my palette or build your own mix of Alix minis, I hope you have as much fun with it as I did!
