The Year of the Cardigans

The Year of the Cardigans

This year, I seem to have fully embraced my cardigan era—and I’m not mad about it! There is something I love about having an easy layer to throw over a dress. I’ve been reaching for cardigans constantly lately, they are perfect for spring and I wanted to share my current favorites with you.

Amulette by Marianne Munier

Amulette by Marianne Munier has completely stolen my heart. Released especially for our La Bien Aimée Pop-Up shop, it’s knit in Volute, our dreamy blend of 50% Cashmere and 50% Merino, and my version in Brume feels like pure luxury. Light, elegant, and timeless, it truly feels like jewelry for your wardrobe. For my size 48, I used 5 skeins.

Feiya V by Tanja Koenigs

Another cardigan I simply cannot stop wearing is Feiya V. Holding two strands of Soyeux together on a 6mm needle creates a wonderfully soft, airy fabric that somehow manages to feel both light and cozy at the same time. I loved it so much that I knit two versions: Anemone with Seaglass for a soft blue effect, and Ominaeshi with Fluoro Morganite for a glowing, sunset-inspired orange. I made both in size XL and used 4 skeins total—2 skeins of each color.

Sprinzig cardigan by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne

And finally, Sprinzig by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne is one of those effortlessly wearable pieces that instantly makes you feel put together. Featuring Nadia’s delicate lace motif and an easy open-front silhouette, it’s the perfect everyday cardigan. For my version, I mixed Alix in Pretty in Pink with Felix in Dawn, creating a beautifully soft heathered pink fabric that I absolutely love.
