Knit Your Glow Vest: Yarn Guide & Quantities
My new pattern for Glow is out today! I am delighted to share it with you. I thought I would share my different versions of Glow here for you, and break down exactly what yarns I used.
So far, I have knit 3 different Glow vests and am just about to finish a 4th one! This pattern is all about marling yarns to create a heathered fabric that glows.
My second, and favorite, version is this 3 color vest! I used Wensley Worsted in Pretty in Pink as the main color, and then used 3 different colors of Alix to create this color block effect. I also used the 3 colors on the pocket.
For a size 7, I used 4 skeins of Wensley Worsted in Pretty in Pink, and 1 skein of Alix in Buzz, 1 skein of Alix in Vibin' (from the Millennial collection) and 1 skein of Alix in Seaglass.
Finally, I always need a yellow version! I created a heathered fabric by holding La Bien Aimée Wensley Worsted with Helix in the same color, Yellow Brick Road of course! Helix's grey base adds a beautiful depth to the vest.
I also made this vest in a size 7 and used 4 skeins of Wensley Worsted and 2 skeins of Helix, both in Yellow Brick Road.
