Patchwork — A Bandana Full of Memory, Color, and Joy

Patchwork — A Bandana Full of Memory, Color, and Joy

Use your leftovers!
I am so excited to announce the release of Patchwork, a joyful new design that celebrates all the little yarn treasures you’ve saved along the way.

Inspired by heirloom quilts and childhood blankets—where each square holds a memory—Patchwork is all about reclaiming and reimagining your leftover yarn. A single skein of Corrie Worsted in French Grey forms the soft neutral background of my version, while eight neon contrast colors (all leftovers from Wensley Worsted) bring the piece to life with pops of vibrant color.

And the best part? You don’t need eight colors. You could use two. Or twenty. Or fifty. Patchwork is designed to be as flexible as your scrap basket allows.

How It Works

Each little square uses just about 1 gram of yarn, making this the perfect pattern for:

The fabric is soft, graphic, and delightfully squishy. Whether your yarns match perfectly or clash beautifully, the contrast against the MC makes every square shine.

The spirit of Patchwork is rooted in family: in those well-loved blankets passed down through generations, pieced together from whatever materials were on hand. This bandana-style shawl is a wearable take on that tradition—a colorful mosaic of stories told in stitches.

I hope Patchwork inspires you to dig into your stash and create something meaningful from what you already have.

The pattern releases tomorrow—get your scraps ready! ✨
