Subtle So Faded

Subtle So Faded

I had been wanting a light colored sweater to wear with my linen dresses and I thought a cropped So Faded would be perfect. I had seen Andrea's on Instagram and loved the idea of using only three colors for my sweater.

I used La Bien Aimée Merino Super Sock in Ghost, Nymeria and Fiori. For the first two color transitions, I followed Andrea's recommendations in the pattern and for the last transition, I alternated Nymeria and Fiori until the ribbing and knit the rest in Fiori. For the sleeves, I followed the same fade pattern except for the last 7 cm of the sleeves I knit them entirely in Fiori.

I knit the sweater to my natural waistline and it hits the skirt seam of all my smock dresses from Not Perfect Linen. My yarn requirements for my size (XL):

Ghost x 1
Nymeria x 2
Fiori x 1

Fingering weight sweaters are my favorite to wear but take the longest to knit. Every time I'm in the middle of knitting the body I am always tempted to put the sweater down and knit something else but I'm glad I powered through this one. I can't wait to wear it this fall.
