Vertices Unite Workshop With Stephen West

Join Stephen West for a joyful and colorful workshop centered around his iconic Vertices Unite shawl. In this class, you’ll explore modular knitting and bold striping while working on a mini version of the design—perfect for understanding the construction and playing with color combinations.
Stephen will guide you through the key techniques that make Vertices Unite so satisfying to knit: choosing and combining colors, carrying yarn neatly along edges, increasing and decreasing, working short rows, picking up stitches, and joining sections seamlessly. You’ll also learn how to finish your project with a polished I-cord bind-off.
This workshop is open to all skill levels. As long as you’re comfortable with basic knitting skills—casting on, binding off, knit and purl—you’re very welcome

Materials to bring:
- 5 colors of fingering-weight yarn
- Circular needles US 4 / 3.5 mm
Stephen will also provide additional yarns and colors for you to experiment with during the workshop.
About the instructor:
Stephen West is an internationally renowned knitwear designer celebrated for his fearless use of color and innovative shawl constructions. Based in Amsterdam, he is the creative force behind Westknits, co-owner of the yarn shop Stephen & Penelope, and co-founder of West Wool. Stephen teaches workshops around the world, hosts popular knit-alongs, and shares design insights through his books and YouTube channel.

Vertices Unite
Atelier avec Stephen West
Dimanche 5 juillet | 17h–19h30 Rejoignez Stephen West pour un atelier coloré autour de son célèbre châle Vertices Unite. Vous découvrirez le tricot modulaire et le jeu de rayures en travaillant une version miniature du modèle, idéale pour comprendre la construction et explorer des combinaisons de couleurs.
Le cours abordera le choix des couleurs, les augmentations et diminutions, les rangs raccourcis, le raccord des différentes sections, la reprise de mailles et la finition en i-cord. L’atelier est ouvert à tous les niveaux, à condition de maîtriser les bases du tricot (monter et rabattre les mailles, endroit et envers).
