Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is a post-apocalyptic film from 1984 about a prophetic young princess who fights back against those who want to destroy the “Sea of Decay”, a jungle spoiled by toxic waste and human pollution.
The color Nausicaa takes inspiration from the princess’s short brown hair and the lilac-blue aviation jacket that she wears throughout the film.
The color Sea of Decay blends deep emerald green base tones with delicate lilac mid tones, and flashes of bright lime green.
