This wrap is made in 3 sections or wedges that are joined together seamlessly as you work. It uses 4 colors of yarn in a faded progression.
The original design of the Zeeweg shawl uses La Bien Aimée Merino Sport in 4 colorways: Fog (x2), Payne's Grey (x2), Mist (x1), and Storm (x1). There are an infinite number of color palettes you could choose, but we have made bundles using some of our favourites.
Joji's original Merino Sport version requires 6 skeins in all. If you wanted a different option, we have prepared bundles using some of our Fingering weight bases, such as Cashmerino and Merino Super Sock, which provide enough yardage to knit this pattern using only 4 skeins of yarn. The skeins in all bundles weigh 100g each.
Please note: All bundles, Fingering weight or Sport weight, contain enough yarn to knit the Zeeweg shawl, as per the yardage given in the pattern. However, if you are a looser knitter and tend to use more yarn than usually recommended in patterns, then you might want to opt for the Sport weight bundles, as they offer more yardage.
